Do I get any mentoring?
Our practice owner Dr.Kristopher Chandroo is passionate about fostering our collaborative team environment through a 1 on 1 DVM mentorship, vet to vet group chat/support and a full team chat/support with all our DVMs across Ontario! Being a DVM with The 100x Vet means you can dedicate 1 hour of care to each patient. You will have a dedicated RVT by your side and work with like minded, flexible, fun teams that make up one of the most respected and appreciated mobile practices in the Ottawa region!
What do I need to be a Mobile vet with The 100x Vet?
You need to show up with a car, your vet licence and yourself. That’s it - we provide the rest!
What will I be doing?
Get ready to enjoy your appointments again - which are more like social calls mixed with high quality medicine. Forget the 20 minute appointment time slots, that make you feel like you're always chasing your tail. Welcome to the new era of 1 hour appointments - where you can see your patient in their natural environment. Where you can finally have the time to work your magic. And where you can build stronger bonds with your clients that they will never forget and want to use you forever as their vet. Our clients love the fact that they can be seen in their own homes. We believe in concordance style medicine where the owner, the pet and you make the decisions together. We hear this weekly: "This is the best vet experience I've had in my life".
As a mobile vet, you can do basically anything that does not require GA or going into the abdomen, or xrays. Medical problem solving is where we shine as mobile vets. You know....all the good stuff!
For example, but of course not limited to:
Arthritic dogs - make them sing (in relief...of course)!
Ear, eye and skin infections
Allergies
Anxious pets (you’ll love our techniques - a hint: no manhandling is ever involved). People literally cry when they see how their pets respond to us in a way that they never have before.
CKD cats - help them thrive (learn our techniques that have our feline patients and their owners raving about us, and be able to send them to our online program that will provide secondary support for medicating their cat: Stress To Success- The essential guide to medicating your feisty, grumpy or reluctant cat.
The pu/pd case! Thyroid - people love you when you make this better. FNA the lumps. Fix the Skin! Sooth the Pancreas. The Diabetes! GI foibles. The list goes on and on.
Litter box issues (we are experts at that and we will teach you how).
A modest amount of appointments with us is how you begin to establish wealth and abundance in your life. We partner you with a dedicated RVT, and then watch the magic happen.
How much do I get paid?
A. Guaranteed flat rate
Call to enquire. This is available for the first 2 successful applicants.
B. A flat rate per appointment
Your flat rate is $175 per appointment. This includes your mileage within service boundaries, as well as an RVT who completes all clinic tasks (blood collection, cytology, medical records, medication preparation and invoicing). So your RVT, equipment, pharmacy, reception, medication delivery, team MacBook is all provided.
Our appointments are 60 minutes long, which is a quality of life pace for both you and the pets we see. If you did 4 appointments in a day, at $175 per appointment, this gives you a gross of $700 per day. This will take about 6.5 hrs (4 hrs of appointments, and 2.5 hrs driving).
Wanna do 5 appointments on some days? Totally fine! That’s $875 per day. The choice is up to you. Work the hours that keep you being you.
Are you a Locum Vet?
We occasionally need shifts covered, now, and in the future! The info on this page applies to you (pay rate etc). Call us for availability, and if you are interested in trying it out.
